Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Pregnancy Massage - 60 Minutes.

Pregnancy Massage - 60 Minutes is generally safe when performed by therapists trained in prenatal care. Positioning and pressure are adapted for each trimester. Check with your healthcare provider first if you have high-risk pregnancy, placenta issues, hypertension, or clotting concerns before booking.

Arrive hydrated and wear loose, comfortable clothing. Avoid a heavy meal immediately beforehand. Let us know your due date, any medical history, and current symptoms. Allow a few minutes before and after the session to relax and reorient yourself.

We use pregnancy-safe lotions and can avoid essential oils if you prefer. Some mild, well-researched oils are acceptable but therapists will only apply pregnancy-safe, diluted oils after your approval. If you have sensitivities, we’ll switch to unscented, hypoallergenic products.

Frequency depends on your needs: many clients book every two to four weeks, increasing to weekly in late pregnancy for more support. Your therapist will suggest timing based on symptoms, trimester, and medical guidance. Always follow your healthcare provider’s recommendations.

Pregnancy Massage - 60 Minutes is not advised with uncontrolled preeclampsia, active bleeding, recent blood clots, severe swelling, placenta complications, or certain infections. If you have medical concerns or a high-risk pregnancy, obtain clearance from your obstetrician before scheduling.

Tell your therapist your due date, obstetric history, current medical conditions, medications, areas of pain or swelling, allergies, and any previous pregnancy complications. This information allows us to tailor positioning, pressure, and product choices for a safe, comfortable experience.
